Yeasted Mother Pastry Buns Ingredients

  • 600 gr flour
  • 200 ml milk
  • 200 ml water
  • 200 ml oil
  • 2 egg
  • 1 tbsp instant yeast (10gr)
  • 3 tbsp sugar (30gr)
  • 1 tbsp salt (10gr)
  • cheese
  • sesame

Directions

1 Firstly , stir the milk, water, oil, sugar, salt and eggs together. When you are mixing add the flour slowly at this time keep mixing and add flour , and add instant yeast. Stir in the flour and you have dough. No mixer is needed. You can do it with your hand, but you can use a mixer if you like.

2 While mixing these ingredients, your mixture will become have a dough consistency. Later , Take out dough and knead it. If it’s sticking to your hand when you are kneading add little more flour and stir. Be sure dough’s consistency is smooth and elastic, after that knead 10 minute with your hands.

After that cover your dough with a cloth or plastic wrap. Must be remembered that it shouldn’t touch with air. Let it stand rise like that in room temparature for an hour.

Leave it to rest an hour!

3After an hour take a piece from dough (for example like an egg sized piece), take this to counter and press with your hand , it has to be flat shape like little tortilla. And also you can use oil for your hands against sticking.

After that , put the cheese (any kind you like) in the middle of the flat dough. Give it pastry shape, fold it and pinch the edges with your fingers gently.

4Take a baking tray and oil it or use parchment paper.Place them on the baking tray evenly spaced so that the pastries do not stick together.

After that apply egg yolks on the buns using a brush ( We had kept one egg yolk for this part). Sprinkle sesame or nigella seeds on top if you like.

5 Later put tray in the oven and leave it to rest for an hour without the oven on. When it is be an hour take the tray out from the oven and also preheat the oven to 180° C or 360° F.

In the last that put it in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown. First thing to remember cooking time may vary depending on the oven.
